Victor D. Infante, a 2004 winner of the Jacob Knight award, has been writing and performing poetry since he was a teenager, and went on to study with British poet Ted Walker, in England. His influences include Romantics like Byron and Shelley, Modernists like Auden and Eliot, and Contemporaries such as Patricia Smith, Carolyn Forche and Thomas Lux.

Infante has read his poetry all over the United States, and in the United Kingdom, and his work has appeared in a number of publications, including Poetry Slam: The Competitive Art of Performance Poetry (Manic D. Press), Worcester Magazine, The Orange County Register, ArtLife, Words: Beatnik to Hip-Hop (Out of Tokyo, Japan), So Luminous the Wildflowers anthology of California poetry and Incidental Buildings & Accidental Beauty (Tebot Bach), to which he wrote the introduction.
